THAMES PAGEANTSaturday 13th September 2008 Promoting the River Thames as an arena for all, the River Thames Pageant sees river-users of all kinds join together in a programme-packed river dislay. The Pageant runs from Greenwich to Westminster and back and includes users of the river from working tugs and steam tugs to private yachts, fireboats, pleasure boats and Livery company vessels. The Pageant starts in Greenwich at 1030am, returning there by 2pm. Join City Cruises and take your place in the Pageant on this marvellous day. City Cruises will be entering two boats, boarding at St. Katharine’s Pier (next to The Tower Hotel, by Tower Bridge) at 1015 for departure at 1030. We will travel down river to join the parade and then head back upstream through the main River Thames Festival site between Tower Bridge and Westminster Bridges. Turning again at Millbank we will pass back through the festival site before leaving the parade in the Lower Pool of London and returning to St. Katharine’s at approximately 1315 (1.15pm). Pageant Sightseeing Cruise Cost per person: £12.00 Pageant Lunch Cruise You will be welcomed aboard the M.V.Millennium of London with a refreshing glass of Pimms. A lunch of baked lasagne with salad and a bread roll is included with a choice of desserts. Cost per person: £37.50, of which £5 will be donated to charity. Both works are expected to last until 2009 at least during which time ticket sales will continue as normal but from a temporary office located in Cutty Sark Gardens. Please take care when proceeding from the ticket office to the pontoon from where the boats depart.
